Advantages and Disadvantages of Non-woven Fabrics
After recycling, non-woven fabrics can be used again after processing. Therefore, non-woven fabrics are environmentally friendly materials. The fabrics have the characteristics of moisture resistance and breathability. Non-woven fabrics’ properties and appearance are similar to cloth.
Advantages of Non-woven Fabrics:
The raw material of the non-woven fabric is polypropylene resin, the proportion of fiber is only 60% of that of cotton, and it feels light and fluffy.
The finished non-woven fabric has moderate softness and good comfort.
Non-toxic and non-irritating are the characteristics of non-woven products. Because they do not contain other chemical ingredients, they will not be irritated or allergic in contact with the skin.
Based on the chemical properties of non-woven raw materials, non-woven fabrics also have antibacterial and moth-proof effects, and the fabrics are not easy to mildew.
Disadvantages of Non-woven Fabrics:
Non-woven fabrics are not as durable and strong as woven fabrics.
Non-woven fabrics are generally not washable and difficult to handle after being soiled.
Because the fibers of the non-woven fabric are arranged in a specified direction, fiber breakage is easy to occur in the right-angle direction.
